KMA Technology and Security


KMA resides in 10,000 square feet of a 200,000 square foot facility that maintains two backup generators, a dual layered security system and digitally recorded camera coverage for all exterior access points and interior space.  All resident data, order information and electronic communications are backed up continuously at the desktop and server level.  FTP, database and file servers are located in a dedicated, climate controlled secure internal room within our leased space which has electronic keypad access, separate security system & cameras.

In addition, all server data is backed up continuously via imaging technology and hosted offsite with our IT vendor that regularly undergoes SAS70 security audits for information technology processes and storage of sensitive data such as financial, health and government information.   KMA maintains two full time dedicated and mutually exclusive internet service providers and has access to a third system onsite for tertiary backup. In worst case scenarios such as total system crashes, KMA’s imaged backups can be loaded to either our in-house standby servers or activated remotely at our IT vendor’s site allowing staff to be working securely within hours of any potential hardware or location outage.


All client information is transferred to KMA via a dedicated secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) that is maintained exclusively for transfer and interim storage of client data and prospecting files provided by KMA to our clients.  Client data is housed on a number of internal KMA servers in SQL, SAS, SPSS and other database applications.  These applications are accessed by KMA staff members in production and analytic positions only to the extent needed to perform their related job functions.

All data is encrypted in the various applications and access is via both password and group policy permissions which are maintained at the administrator level.  All servers containing client data are located in our secure server room which is restricted to physical access for all staff except administrator level.  Passwords are changed routinely and access to data is monitored at administrator level.
